According to experienced professionals, the new power plant will become the “heart” of the new Cadillac flagship four-door model, which production is scheduled for 2020. New sedan will take a place above the CT6 current flagship sedan in the brand product line.

It is worth remembering that at the end of last month, the automaker presented the new 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged unit which is capable of producing 400 horsepower and 543 Nm of torque. This motor will be installed to the CT6 flagship four-door. The power unit will work in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission. New turbocharged V6 is produced at the Michigan factory. The fuel consumption is 6 percent reduced due to the installation of the Start / Stop system that deactivates 2 cylinders.

Now only two Cadillac models have V8 engine – charged CTS-V sedan and Escalade SUV.
