Cadillac of Elvis Presley went to the museum

The National Automobile Museum of United Kingdom situated in Beaulieu will present the Cadillac Seville, which belonged to the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley. This car was purchased by Elvis in October 1976 for personal use. Cadillac Seville V8 with an automatic transmission has a custom-made body designed by Fisher studio. The list of options includes two-tone silver-cherry paint, full set of power accessories, interior trimmed with the gray leather and wood inserts.

The car still is in its original condition and has the original radio, which was used to communicate with Elvis’ attendants and security guards of his possessions Graceland. This Cadillac was the last car that Elvis bought and which he was driving until his death in August 16, 1977. Presley was a fan of the Cadillac brand and he got more than 200 cars during his successful career. Moreover, he gladly gave the car to his family and friends.. After his death Cadillac Seville was presented by Elvis’ father to Ginger Alden, Elvis’ girlfriend.

The car changed owners several times. After another auction the car was owned by Steve Horn, who bought Seville at the cost of $ 81,250 as a gift for his wife Suzanne. After participating in the British festival in honor of Elvis Horn couple decided to put the car in the museum at Beaulieu. According to Steve, they wanted to provide opportunity for British fans to see the Elvis’ car.
