The Cadillac Company took the Escalade EXT pickup truck out of production. The hopes for big sales of the car were not realized. It was a luxury massive pickup-truck which was surprisingly functional. An all-wheel drive car was powered with 6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine providing 403 hp and 417 pound-feet of torque; the engine was paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The automaker said noted poor sales of the machine and decided to remove it from production. According to the brand, only 1,159 people wanted to buy Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup truck in June of this year in the US, while the modifications of SUV and SUV with long wheelbase were sold in terms of numbers 5677 and 3827 copies, respectively.

Let’s note that an analog of the Escalade pickup represented by Chevrolet Avalanche has already left the production conveyor for the same reasons. It was conducted by the release of a special version called Black Diamond. Cadillac Pickup, in its turn, will go into retirement without such a parade. It is expected that the same fate awaits the hybrid modification of Cadillac Escalade SUV.
