Cadillac CT6 Sedan can get a charged version

Cadillac CT6 flagship sedan can get a charged V-version. As the Executive Vice President of Global Product Development of General Motors, Mark Reuss says, the company is considering the appearance of such a model. He expressed a confidence that the Omega platform, which is a base of CT6, is quite suitable for the car with an increased power.

Production of the Cadillac CT6 base version should begin in late 2015 in Detroit. The novelty will be sold in United States, in several European countries, as well as in China, Korea and Japan. The main competitors of the car will be the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The car body is composed of 64% of aluminum, that’s why the weight of CT6 is only 1678 pounds.
The car has received LED optics, massive grille and gently sloping roof. The novelty is equipped with the CUE infotainment system with 10.2-inch display, wireless charger for smart phones, OnStar 4G LTE system with WI-Fi access point. Massaging seats, as well as 10-inch screens mounted in the backs of the front seats are optional.

CT6 engine range includes 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 265 horsepower. Also a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated unit is available. An output of this motor is 335 horsepower. All engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
