This means that under the hood of the new car will be 1.8-liter four-cylinder petrol unit that works in conjunction with two electric motors. At Malibu Hybrid, this system provides a maximum power of 184 hp and consumes 5 liters of petrol per hundred kilometers when driving on the combined cycle. Power reserve of the model using only an electric motive power with fully charged lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.5 kilowatt-hours is up to 88.5 kilometers.

According to Reuss, General Motors is already evaluating the possibility of release of charged V-version of the Cadillac CT6 sedan.
