Cadillac presented CT6 hybrid sedan at the Shanghai Auto Show

American manufacturer of luxury cars Cadillac presented to the public its new version of the flagship four-door sedan named CT6. It happened at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The car is equipped with a hybrid power plant and it is expected that for the first time the model will be available for sale in Chinese and American auto markets, and later possibly this hybrid sedan will appear in other countries.

The hybrid power plant includes a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, a pair of electric motors, as well as a set of lithium-ion battery (18.4 kilowatts) which are situated in the rear part of a car between the rear seats and a trunk. The total power unit is capable of delivering up to 335 horsepower and 586 Newton / meter of torque. The driver can choose one of three modes – Normal, Sport and Hold.

We remind that the standard Cadillac CT6 will be produced at the Detroit factory at the end of this year. The novelty will appear in the automobile markets of the United States, Japan, China, Korea and some European countries. Four-door sedan with rear-wheel drive will compete with such models as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8.
